This year, the Council of Delegates (COD) meeting will take place as a virtual meeting on Tuesday, 27 October 2026 ahead of the WFN Digital Updates Course (WNU 2026) 28-29 October 2026. The results of this year’s WFN elections for a new Secretary-General, and one Elected Trustee will be revealed at the COD meeting.
The call for nominations will soon be announced on both the WFN (https://wfneurology.org/) website and in our newsletter World Neurology. The deadline for the submission of nominations is Friday, 17 April 2026. We are looking for the best-suited people from your region and society who will be interested in working with the WFN. When suggesting candidates, please also consider age and gender, as the WFN aims for an equal distribution of gender and encourages younger colleagues to apply for positions.

The topic of World Brain Day 2026 will be announced soon. Details will appear shortly on the WFN website. Please participate in this important activity of the WFN on 22nd July.
The International Congress of Neuromuscular Disease (ICNMD), from the WFN Specialty Group on Neuromuscular Diseases, will this year be in Italy, in the magnificent city of Florence. It will take place in the Congress Centre of Florence, “Fortezza da Basso”, from 7–11 July 2026.
